There certainly are exceptions but not very many. Having many decades ago been IN the porn business as a corporate owner, I can however attest that that the vast majority of porn performers are both uneducated and unwise. There are pros and cons to both escorting and not escorting. There is nothing inherently wrong with porn performers (they’re NOT all stars) who elects to escort.
